Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: According to foreign media reports, e-commerce giant Amazon submitted a patent application to the US Patent and Trademark Office, ready to build a "multi-level order fulfillment center." It looks like a huge tower supported by a robot that allows drones to easily get in and out and transport parcels in urban areas.
Amazon said in the application for this patent, "Now, the demand for building order fulfillment centers in urban areas (such as business districts and densely populated areas) is growing."
The US Patent and Trademark Office announced on Thursday the Amazon's "Multi-Level Order fulfillment center" patent application and the application for UAV-related patents.
Patent applications related to drones cover drone performance and noise control. Amazon has not commented on this yet.
Of course, the patent for this UAV tower is not necessarily translated into reality. However, in recent years, Amazon has been actively creating drone delivery services. In March of this year, the company's drone delivery department, Amazon Prime Air, has publicly shipped parcels for the first time in the United States. Amazon, UPS Express, Google (microblogging) and other companies have also begun to develop drone delivery technology, hoping to deliver to consumers at a lower cost and faster speed.
