Summary:

DCM in VIA package is an enhanced modular DC-DC converter A wide range of unregulated inputs can be used to generate a regulated, isolated, high-efficiency output with much higher power density than competing products. The new DCM provides power system engineers with a better brick solution with higher EMI filtering, transient protection, inrush current limiting, and secondary reference control interface functionality to meet the needs of fine-tuning, enabling, and remote sensing applications. Two configurations are available for onboard and chassis mounting.

Currently launched products:

Vicor has added two new modules for various applications including industrial and communications: modules in the 3414VIA package (3.38x1.40x0.37 inches) and supporting 28V/320W output with a nominal input voltage of 48V (voltage range 36) -75V); modules in the 3714VIA package (3.75x1.40x0.37 inches) and supporting 28V/500W output with a nominal input of 300 (range 200-420), achievable power density up to 257W/in3.
