STMicroelectronics uses its latest manufacturing process to upgrade its 16VCMOS two-way and four-way analog comparators. The new products reduce power consumption. Each comparator typically consumes 5μA, has a shorter propagation time, and ESD anti-static capability is improved. 4kV.
The new TSX393 , TSX339, TSX3702 and TSX3704 are compatible with the previous generation, further expanding the performance and energy efficiency advantages of STMicroelectronics CMOS products and other manufacturers' bipolar comparators. The new comparators feature a 2.7-16V wide voltage single supply and are suitable for standard voltages in a variety of applications, including industrial and automotive equipment.
The new device is rated for operation from -40°C to 125°C and has a higher ESD capability than previous generations, improving the reliability of sensing and control systems in harsh environments.
The TSX393 and TSX339 integrate two and four comparators, respectively, and the open-drain output helps simplify circuit design that requires ORing or level shifting. The two-way comparator TSX3702 and the four-way comparator TSX3704 have push-pull outputs for reliable signal input and output without the need for pull-up resistors. The output drive capability is up to 20mA and can be directly connected to a variety of analog or digital loads.
ST 's latest products also introduce smaller new packages that allow new products to be integrated into customer designs, simplifying printed circuit board layout and routing. In addition to the existing SO-8, Mini-SO8 and TSSOP-8 packages, the TSX393 and TSX3702 are available in a 2mm x 2mm DFN8 package. The TSX339 and TSX3704 are available in 3mm x 3mm QFN16 and SO-14 and TSSOP-14 packages. STMicroelectronics is AEC-Q100 certified for SO-8 and TSSOP-14 devices.
STMicroelectronics' TSX series comparators are in mass production today.
