Purui Optoelectronics develops high-power GaN LED chips

It is reported that Puri Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Puri Optoelectronics), a leading supplier of energy-saving LED technology for high-volume, solid-state lighting market, recently announced that the company's newly developed NLX-5 high-power gallium nitride (GaN) LED chip. Commercial sales have officially begun. The NLX-5 series typically delivers 80 to 90 lumens (@350 mA) when embedded in a customer-standard, cool white LED package. As a result, the NLX-5 delivers industry-leading energy savings for warm white, cool white and RGB lighting applications.

It is understood that in the LED package, NLX-5 is an ideal choice for general lighting equipment including LED street lights, downlights for construction, MR-16 lights, and mobile phones and digital camera flash. As the fifth-generation chip launched by Purui Optoelectronics, the NLX-5 has a 15% to 20% improvement in performance over previous products. On the basis of adhering to low-cost production technology, Purui Optoelectronics continues to strive to improve the performance of LED chips as always, and other companies in the industry have long abandoned this low-cost production technology, and turned to the thin-film LED architecture. A mere clock, but this structure will only make LED production more complicated and costly. Steve Lester, director of Purui Optoelectronics R&D Center, said: "By combining innovative chip design with traditional sapphire-based LED chip structures, we are on a powerful, high-performance technology platform. The earth has improved the performance of LEDs. Many companies believe that only the removal of traditional sapphire substrates can increase the light extraction rate. We have improved the original technology, obtained higher performance without removing the sapphire substrate, and avoided production. Negative impact on cost and cost. Given the current results of our R&D center, we predict that by using this high-power LED technology platform, we can increase LED performance by 10% to 15% in the second half of this year, and in the future. Continue to improve LED performance in 12 months."
