MAX9312, MAX9314 dual, 1: 5 differential LVPECL / LVECL / HSTL clock and data drivers
Overview
The MAX9312 / MAX9314 are low distortion, dual 1: 5 differential drivers designed for clock and data distribution. These devices accept two inputs. Each input regenerates 5 differential outputs. After the differential input is adjusted, it can allow single-ended input, just connect the on-chip VBB power supply to an input terminal as a reference voltage.
The MAX9312 / MAX9314 have low device-to-device distortion (30ps) and output-to-output distortion (12ps), and are particularly suitable for clock and data distribution through backplanes or circuit boards. When interfaced with differential HSTL and LVPECL signals, these devices operate in the power range of + 2.25V to + 3.8V, enabling high-performance clock or data distribution in systems with a nominal power supply of + 2.5V or + 3.3V . When interfaced with differential LVECL, these devices operate from -2.25V to -3.8V.
The MAX9312's on-chip VBB reference output is 1.425V lower than the positive supply voltage. The on-chip VBB reference output provided by the MAX9314 is 1.32V lower than the positive supply voltage.
Both devices are available in space-saving 32-pin 5mm x 5mm TQFP, 5mm x 5mm QFN and industry standard 32-pin 7mm x 7mm TQFP packages.
