For high-speed moving objects, we can't clearly observe the motion process in between (such as free fall in physical experiments, flat throwing and fast horizontal movement of the car, etc.). In order to understand the entire process of object motion, a high frequency stroboscopic flash is usually required as the light source. Since the strobe source can emit a short flash in rapid succession, and the time interval of the illuminating is equal, the trajectory of the high-speed moving object can be captured by continuous exposure on a photo (as shown in FIG. 1). ). For objects moving at a constant speed or in a periodic motion, when the flickering frequency of the stroboscopic light source is adjusted to be close to or synchronized with the rotation or movement speed of the object to be measured, the object under test moves at a high speed, but it appears to be slow motion or Relatively static. The stroboscopic light source can observe the surface quality and operating condition of high-speed moving objects by using the temporary effect of vision. A flashing speedometer consisting of a stroboscopic light source can be used for measuring the rotational speed of a rotating object and the periodic vibration frequency in an electromechanical device. Because it uses stroboscopic flash speed measurement, it does not directly touch the measured object and does not affect the motion state of the object, so it is an ideal measurement tool.

The traditional stroboscopic light source is bulky, expensive, and the flash tube aging is fast, and the operation process is also complicated. If a high-power LED (Light Emitting Diode) is used instead of a mercury flash source, the volume of the light source can be greatly reduced, which not only can extend the life of several times, but also cost only a few tenths of that of the conventional strobe source. It can also be connected directly to the camera, using a digital camera and a video projection system for live demonstrations, which is very convenient to use.
