Recently, Visteon launched the DriveCore? automatic driving platform. DriveCore's three major components DriveCore Compute + RunTIme+Studio

Visteon President and CEO Sachin Lawande believes: "To meet the computing requirements of Autopilot Solutions Level 3 and above, powerful in-vehicle information processing capabilities and multiple sensing technologies are required. DriveCoreTM is the industry's first open collaboration platform. The three major components of DriveCoreTM:

Compute is a modular, scalable hardware computing platform that easily adapts to all levels of autonomous driving technology. Its computing power covers 500 GFLOPS - 20 TFLOPS (based on existing SoCs) and is scalable. Does not depend on any central processing unit. It can seamlessly support NVIDIA, NXP, Qualcomm and other processors, and will support other types of processors in the future to protect the relevant technology investments of automakers.

RunTIme is a vehicle middleware that provides a secure framework for high-performance, real-time communication of applications and algorithms. The middleware also supports sensor abstraction (Sensor AgnosTIc) while supporting sensor fusion. Therefore, when more advanced sensors appear, such as car radar upgrade from 2D to 3D, etc., the sensor can be upgraded at any time.

Studio's PC-based development environment enables automotive manufacturers to build ecosystems for algorithmic developers and accelerate the development of sensor-based artificial intelligence algorithms that unlock the potential for innovation. Complete object recognition, camera lane recognition algorithm simulation, verification, and test environment make it easy for Studio to integrate third-party algorithms and access real sensor data.

In order to promote open cooperation between automakers and third parties, Visteon has also announced four technology partners.

DeepScale's deep learning technology can be combined with any sensor to create an environmental model in real time. At the same time, DeepScale's Deep Neural Network (DNN) also delivers the awareness necessary for autonomous driving.

· Steer offers fully automated parking solutions. The car picks up the passenger at the designated location, then automatically parks to the nearest automatic parking area, and then waits for the “call signal” before heading to the designated bus stop.

StradVision develops advanced object detection and recognition software using machine learning algorithms.

· AAI will bring graphical environment simulation technology to DriveCoreTM Studio.
