Hangzhou Silan Microelectronics has successfully launched a high-power LED driver chip SD42524 with an input voltage of 6~36V and an output current of 1A. The chip is a step-down, constant current drive, power switch built-in power LED driver chip, which can be widely used in a variety of LED lighting fields.
SD42524 adopts Silan's own 36VBCD process technology, and uses high-precision trimming technology internally. The output current of the chip is consistent. When the input voltage changes between 6~36V or the LED load is 1~6 When changing, the output current rate of change can be controlled between ±2%.
The chip integrates LDMOS power tube based on Silan Micro's unique BCD device technology. With 88mV sampling voltage, the energy conversion efficiency of the circuit can be as high as 96%, and the heat dissipation performance is also good.
The SD42524 uses PWM dimming and internal regulation techniques. It can meet the dimming requirements from 0 to 100% in the range of 100 Hz to 2 kHz. The integrated LDO inside the chip generates VDD voltage and can be used as the power supply for the MCU for dimming.
In addition, the chip has built-in frequency-jitter function to ensure that the internal oscillation frequency of the chip is jittered in a small range. In addition, the chip integrates multiple protection circuits such as temperature protection circuit, thermal compensation circuit and current limiting circuit to ensure the normal working environment of the LED lamp and prolong its service life.
The chip can connect 6 LEDs in series when the input voltage is 24V. The system has very few peripheral components and only needs 7 components, which is very suitable for 24V power system. In a typical application of an AC input MR16 spotlight, the input voltage range is AC12 to 24V, requiring only 11 peripheral devices.
