NXP Semiconductors (NXP Semiconductors) announced the launch of SSL4120, a GreenChip half-bridge resonant controller with integrated power factor correction (PFC) that supports high-power LED applications up to 400W. The single-chip SSL4120 is an efficient solution for high-power LED applications, such as office lighting, shopping mall lighting, high and low patio lighting, parking lot lighting, plaza lighting, and street lighting. The SSL4120 fully supports power supply applications and can be efficiently activated directly from the rectified universal power supply voltage in the range of 90 to 305 volts. SSL4120 supports low total harmonic distortion (THD) below 10%, high power factor (PF) above 0.97 and a typical PFC frequency of 380 kHz, which meets and surpasses general high-power LED lighting applications Specification requirements.
