Energy-saving products will become the main subsidies

One year of energy-saving and benefit-subsidy policies, flat-panel TVs, air conditioners, and small household appliances have become the mainstay of market sales. Although the previous energy-saving and popular-minded policies were formally ended, the industry generally predicts that policies will continue.

Energy conservation and environmental protection are policy-oriented

The energy-saving benefits subsidy policy has been officially implemented since June 1, 2012. When the energy conservation policy was implemented for half a year, the three ministries and commissions issued a notice that the sales of energy-saving appliances have increased substantially, the product structure has been significantly optimized, and the effects of the policies have gradually emerged.

Statistics from Zhongyikang also show that since the implementation of the subsidy policy for energy-saving and livelihood-enhancing people, more than 32.7 million sets of high-efficiency and energy-saving appliances have been promoted, stimulating consumer demand to exceed 110 billion yuan.

With policy guidance and genuine subsidies, energy-saving and environmentally friendly products are now well-established. From a number of home appliance stores data, the energy-saving subsidy policy for consumption is even more to be overlooked, after the end of energy-saving policies, energy-saving environmental protection products are still the main force of market sales.

Energy-saving, new energy, environmental protection, and high-efficiency products are the future development trends, and the pull of such products on consumption will also affect the future policy orientation. The possibility of reopening energy-saving subsidies is also there.

Supplement or only fill "leader"

In 2013, the central government arranged a total of 35 billion yuan in subsidies for energy-saving products to promote a total of eight major categories of consumer goods and five major categories of industrial products, which can be described as a wide range of subsidies and quantities. However, at the same time as the policy news is good, the negative news on energy-saving products, such as falsification, fraudulent subsidies, etc., is also no exception.

In the process of implementation of the energy conservation policy, it is actually a process of cultivating consumers to consume energy-saving products. Many companies have encountered varying degrees of problems in the production of products and adjustment of the industrial chain in order to join the energy-saving household. Many still do not meet the real energy-saving requirements.

If such policies continue to be implemented in 2014, the energy conservation policy will shift from "replenishing quantity" to "supplement quality." The scope of subsidies will be smaller than in 2013, and only energy-saving product leaders will receive energy-saving subsidies.
