With the AS7221 , lighting manufacturers will be able to quickly integrate high-precision color temperature tuning (or “Kelvin tuningâ€) into their IoT smart lighting products. The AS7221 versatile architecture includes an I2C expansion interface with IoT sensor hub platform capabilities for sensing functions such as air quality detection, temperature sensing, space occupancy and presence for Internet of Awareness.
The AS7221 is equipped with an industry-first embedded tri-stimulus CIEXYZ color sensor for accurate color sensing by mapping directly to the CIE1931 color space. This intelligent lighting manager is a fully integrated lighting control system that is compatible with standard 0-10V inputs and implements the Internet of Things through standard clients such as Smart Bluetooth, ZigBee or WiFi and a complete intelligent lighting command set. Connection and network control, LED spectral tuning control through direct PWM channel output, creating a high-precision solution. This approach significantly reduces development and integration time compared to the more cumbersome discrete component approach.
