Ten asked Wang Jianzhou: No regrets is already working with Apple

Wang Jianzhou, born in December 1948 in Changxing, Zhejiang Province, is the chairman of China Mobile Communications Corporation. In 2007, he was named one of the "Global CEOs of the Year in 2006" by the "Business Weekly" of the United States. He is also the first Chinese co-chairman of Davos Annual Meeting. 01 Have you ever had an "elevator speech" moment?

It means that one person is going to sell or explain something to the other person in the shortest possible time in the elevator lift, right? In fact, I did not experience elevator speeches. I did not show it to people. However, I often like to tell people clearly in the elevator for the shortest possible time. I don't like to talk about water.

02 You mentioned in the book that at the "Future of Mobile Technology" conference, you are the only person in your audience who has 5 mobile phones. What do you want to show in this detail? The mobile phone extends people's functions such as mouth, eyes, and ears, but is the extension not controlled at the same time? Do you think that you are controlled by "5 mobile phones"?

I am doing mobile communication technology. In fact, I want to prove to everyone that the era of "Cellphonelization" has come. At that time, Google’s CEO Schmidt proposed that the world has “Googlization” (Google), and I said not exactly so. The world has already “mobileized”. Even so, I don't think I'm being controlled by a cell phone. I do this.

03 Is there a storage habit in your mobile phone? Such as photos, a meaningful message?

I like to save music. There are various kinds of music in my cell phone. These account for most of them. Messages and pictures that are of special significance to individuals will be available to everyone, but those are privacy.

04 What is your deepest conviction in the past?

I have to say my own bank. I used to believe that communication technology will be ubiquitous, including communication equipment on every device and even on animals. Now these are really happening, but I think about what they mean.

What is the most anxious matter at 05 now?

Is it that I hope to say cooperation with Apple? Ha ha. In fact, it is still about changes in China Mobile. China Mobile must completely become a company that provides data value-added services. The road is still very long.

06 What's interesting recently?

Not recent, it is my personal experience. I first met Google’s chairman Schmidt. He asked me: In the future, we will all be free to call. What about the payment of services and advertisements on mobile phones? I said that wouldn't work, and we wouldn't be able to cooperate. When I came back, I was very sighed because I also knew that this was a trend and you couldn't resist it, but now you have to resist it. I think this situation is very interesting.

07 You used to borrow Mei Jieqi's words. The university is not a building. The big companies are not large scale. How do you evaluate your company? What do you think of great companies?

A great company should have social responsibility, which is what people often say about corporate citizenship. These are usually things that have nothing to do with profits. China Mobile is still doing, slowly.

08 If you do not have the development of communication technology, what do you think you are doing in general?

I didn't think about this issue. I don't think I have other industries to do. My only possibility is to do communication technology.

09 Everyone thinks that you are retire. What's the regret?

There is nothing to regret. Some things can be advanced even faster. There may be cooperation with Apple. Everyone is asking me when China Mobile launched the iPhone. The new Apple CEO Cook also told me that almost everyone also asked him about the cooperation with China Mobile. But in fact we are already working together and we will have more cooperation in the future.

10 If the dead can survive to answer a question, who would you rather ask?

Haha, am I not going to retire? Such a personal question is left until I retire.
