QuickLogic Expands SenseMe Algorithm Software Product Lineup for Smartphones and Wearables

QuickLogic today announced several new algorithms for its SenseMeTM sensor algorithm product library. The SenseMe algorithm works in conjunction with QuickLogic's Sensor Hub chip platform and reference design, enabling designers of smartphones and wearables to expand the capabilities and features of the devices they design, dramatically reducing design time while reducing risk and increasing battery life and The accuracy of the data.

QuickLogic's SenseMe algorithm product library now adds the following new algorithm: Reduce the algorithm for determining the delay time of different scenes when the user is in the car or riding a bicycle; follow the fitness and health algorithms according to the needs of heart rate monitoring (HRM); Advanced pedometer function, as well as sleep analysis algorithms. Advanced pedometers provide slow walking, normal walking, fast walking, and step counts while running; sleep analysis algorithms provide information on light sleep, deep sleep, and wake mode. OEMs have compared QuickLogic's pedometers with some of the leading products on the market, and they believe that the accuracy of QuickLogic pedometers is over 97%.

Using QuickLogic's SenseMe algorithm, smartphone and wearable device design teams can easily interpret data from a variety of sensors, including inertial sensors, magnetic sensors, biosensors, proximity sensors, and light sensors to determine user activity and different Activity scene.

The ArcticLink 3 S2 and SenseMe algorithms are fully compatible with the Android operating system, including KitKat 4.4, Lollipop 5.0, and RTOS systems. QuickLogic offers standard Android drivers that allow designers to integrate quickly and seamlessly.

The ArcticLink 3 S2 platform can be customized to meet the needs of unique customers through QuickLogic's integrated development environment (IDE) and reference designs. Using IDE to combine QuickLogic's extensive software products, customer-developed algorithms, and third-party algorithms, or arbitrarily combine these three, you can quickly complete the development of differentiated products.

"Combining QuickLogic's powerful algorithms with very efficient hardware provides a tool for identifying and analyzing users' current activities," said Frank Shemansky, senior director of product operations at QuickLogic. “They also paved the way for predicting users' intentions and obtaining relevant information that was previously impossible, and provided almost unlimited opportunities, from the interrelationship of biological systems information to environmental predictions.”
