Since March 20, 2010, Serbia’s old electrical product certification regulations have been superseded by new regulations, and the test certificates obtained before were valid until January 1, 2012.
According to the new statutory regulations, manufacturers must obtain certificates of conformity in accordance with the relevant regulations on electromagnetic compatibility, low voltage and mechanical safety (depending on the product) in order to import or sell related electrical products on the Serbian market. The regulations are very similar to the EU's EMC 2004/108/EC, LVD2006/95/EC and MD2006/42/EC directives.
