China Southern Power Grid's first smart substation put into operation

Recently, Maoming 110kv Wenchongkou substation, which has been intelligently upgraded and stably operated for one year, successfully passed the technical acceptance of the expert group and became the first smart substation of China Southern Power Grid Corporation. It is also the most advanced and most comprehensive application of intelligent transformation technology in China. 110 kV substation. The project has applied for a total of 13 national patents. Many innovations achieved in the research and application of key substations in smart substations have reached the domestic leading level.

Wenchongkou Station is located in the western area of ​​Maoming River. Built in 1976, it is the only 110 kV substation in the heart of the Hexi area. In accordance with the IEC 61850 standard system, the project intelligently reconstructs all protection, measurement and control, fault recording and station measurement equipment in the station, and builds an automated monitoring system that meets this standard. At the same time, the hierarchically constructed primary equipment and networked secondary equipment realize information sharing within the substation, and its data collection, transmission, processing and output processes are completely intelligent. In the substation process layer network, Wenchongkou Station is different from the current SMV and GOOSE network of other intelligent stations in China. It is combined into a dual network configuration, greatly reducing the number of switching equipment and connecting optical fibers, simplifying Network, saving investment and resource consumption.
