Agilent Wireless Communications Lab starts testing new energy

Due to the increasing complexity of wireless communication technology, customer needs are becoming increasingly difficult to meet. In order to allow more wireless communication customers to test and verify accurately, Agilent also continuously improves its own test energy. At present, Agilent has completed the expansion plan of the wireless communication laboratory in the Zhongli office, which will provide related customers with more complete preliminary verification testing services and application technical support.

Zhang Zhiming, general manager of Agilent's electronic measurement business group in Taiwan, said that in the next step, Agilent will also regularly hold wireless communication test lectures, continue to invest more manpower and technical resources, and is committed to assisting local customers in the development, manufacturing, and construction of wireless communication To help customers gain a competitive advantage.

Chen Junyu, Associate Manager of the Wireless Communications Department of Agilent Application Engineering Department, pointed out that the current usage mode of wireless communications is changing. In the past, voice-based communication methods have now become data-based. This is mainly because people ’s habits of using mobile phones have long changed. More multimedia applications and instant messaging apps have brought more convenience to users, but have also greatly increased the amount of data transmission.

In response to this trend of no longer focusing on voice communication, the wireless communication technology of mobile phones will also adopt a multi-pipe parallel method, such as 2G, 3G and LTE, or even add WiMAX, etc., to allow a variety of different technologies for data transmission The complementarity and shunting will contribute to a larger amount of data transmission.

In fact, since the wireless system division of AT4 wireless was incorporated into its subsidiaries in 2012, Agilent also has extensive certification testing experience and advanced system design structure of AT4, combined with Agilent's existing instruments and systems, can provide more complete Wireless device certification test and verification system, and further consolidate Agilent's leadership in the field of wireless testing.

At present, more and more communication functions have been added to smart phones, but whether it is a newly added function or an original function, it needs to be fully tested. More and more complicated test projects are really a tricky thing for these manufacturers. As a result, Agilent's new wireless communication laboratory will focus on mobile communication 2 / 3G, HSPA +, DC-HSDPA, MIMO-HSPA and LTE technologies, as well as various wireless connection standards such as Bluetooth and wireless LAN ( WLAN), Near Field Communication (NFC) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), etc., including pre-radio frequency and communication protocol verification tests, functional tests (such as InterRAT, battery consumption, data throughput, A-GPS, etc.) LTE voice (VoLTE), compatibility test with telecommunications suppliers (IOT) plan, etc .; and hold various application lectures every month to share the latest knowledge of the latest wireless communication technology.
