16-Core Acceleration 3.5GHz: Server Bulldozer Reveals Four More

At the end of July, Gateway leaked the specific model, core, and reference frequency of four bulldozer architecture Opteron 6200 series processors in its server system configuration list. Now, North American server maker Penguin Computing has let us see another four new models and more detailed acceleration frequency data.

In addition to the eight-core Opteron 6220, this configuration list has three frequencies at the back of each processor. Estimates should be the default raw frequency, all core dynamic acceleration maximums, and some core acceleration maximums, respectively.

The specific models, cores, and status frequencies of the four new Us are as follows:

Opteron 6212: Eight-Core, 2.8/3.7/3.7GHz

Opteron 6238: Twelve Core, 2.5/3.1/3.3GHz

Opteron 6274: 16 core, 2.2/2.8/3.2GHz

Opteron 6282 SE: 16-core, 2.5/3.1/3.5GHz - high-performance models with higher thermal design power consumption The four previous models are:

Opteron 6234: Twelve Core, 2.3/2.9/3.1GHz (formerly labeled 2.4GHz)

As AMD has said before, in the case of closing part of the core, the acceleration can reach a maximum of 1GHz, but it seems that only the 16 core has this ability, the twelve core, eight core can only accelerate 800MHz, 600MHz.
