DyStar Optoelectronics Lighting Technology Co., Ltd. is a well-known professional manufacturer of LED lamps in Taiwan. It has set up a factory in the mainland in 2006 and has established its own brand image in the LED street lamp industry. In early 2009, it established an alliance with Peking University Shenzhen Research Institute. "Semiconductor Photovoltaic Laboratory" and plans to invest $12.5 million in LED lighting.
At the "Second LED Industry Theme Summit Forum" held on May 23, Mr. Xiong Yingxiang, General Manager of Destar Opto Lighting Technology Co., Ltd. gave a speech on "LED Frontier Technology and Global Road Lighting Application Prospect Analysis". After the meeting, Optoelectronics News Network interviewed it.

Street lamp standards should be introduced as soon as possible
Optoelectronics News Network: How do you view the "Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Miles" plan and the upcoming street lamp standards?
Xiong Yingxiang: The introduction of standards is conducive to the sound development of the industry. The lights installed on the road suddenly do not light up. The reasons may be various. It may be a power problem, or it may be a heat dissipation problem. Of course, it may be a problem of the LED itself, but the average user will not go into the cause. Why, only think that things are not good, and thus reduce the willingness to use this thing. Each industry has some important norms. If the standards are introduced too slowly, it will not be conducive to the competition of the industry, and there will be a phenomenon in which so-called bad money drives out good money. If everyone can do a good job in this respect, the ten cities will be implemented smoothly, so that everyone feels that LED street lights are really good, and this industry is naturally formed.
When we set standards, we can share something and develop together. At present, there is a problem in Guangdong. Only some people participate in the formulation of standards, so there may be some unreasonable places. When foreign countries formulate energy bills or formulate relevant industry standards, they are not made in a small room. Each company has advantages and disadvantages. Only when the advantages of all enterprises are combined can the standards be better. .
When the LED has passed the darkest, the dawn is slowly emerging. It is estimated that it will be able to rise in 2009-2010, and companies that have suffered long-term losses may have a big improvement in the past two years.
Ready to make the company more localized
Optoelectronics News Network: As a Taiwan-funded enterprise, how does your company balance R&D and production across the Taiwan Strait? How to plan in the future?
Xiong Yingxiang: The reason why our factory chose Shenzhen was because Shenzhen's upstream and downstream industrial chain was relatively perfect, and the cost in all aspects of the operation of the company would be relatively low. As a Taiwan-funded enterprise, we have been working on localization, and establishing a photovoltaic laboratory with Peking University is a good example. The mainland has good R&D talents and markets. Destar has decided to transfer R&D from the US and Taiwan to the mainland. The current cross-strait exchanges have been very frequent. The two sides can work together to achieve a win-win situation. Jointly setting standards is a good start.
National enterprises should have the spirit of "squatting horses"
Optoelectronic News Network: How should mainland companies enhance their competitiveness?
Xiong Yingxiang: Mainland enterprises must master the basic skills, do not consider the current interests, and do research and development in a down-to-earth manner. From the beginning, it blossomed everywhere, but it was flashy. Chinese companies should have the kind of sturdy spirit of Shaolin Temple when the monk just started practicing Kung Fu. Destar has several factories in Shenzhen and several factories in Taiwan. It used to be part of LED cooling. In fact, our research in the industry is also quite long. Since the establishment of the factory in 2006, it has been two and a half years, the main focus of work is on the expansion of innovative research and development and patent territory.
Nowadays, the street lights of Desida are at the forefront in Asia. There are quite a few companies that want to enter the streetlight market recently, but there are not many companies that actually enter mass production. Without mass production, the yield cannot be improved. Enterprises should first lay a solid foundation, and then set up the factory after the technology is mature, so that the things put on the market can guarantee the quality. The lights that Destar has installed have not been removed yet, because we have repeatedly verified them and placed them in the factory for a whole year without problems.
The state should increase its support for enterprises.
Optoelectronic News Network: What role do you think the government should play in industrial development?
Xiong Yingxiang: China has talents, but technology has not kept up. The support of the government needs to be strengthened. The Korean government is worth learning. It can guide enterprises to build large companies to compete with international giants through the integration of technology and shares. Modern and Samsung are just like this. Now there are no big companies in the upstream part. The government should choose some good seedlings and support it to grow bigger.
Good results often require time to accumulate. This requires the support of the government, the propaganda of the media and the competition of the business community. If these three can be perfectly combined, the "Ten Cities and Ten Thousands" is a good start.

As LCD display in YFJ company that we usually use it to military grade battery ,especially Lithium-ion batteries ,for these battery applications ,we have obvious advantage is that we focus more on shor circuit protection which we follow the US military standard.
Short circuit protection:The following test shall be performed. Charge batteriesas specified in ; use of 4.6.3 is permitted. Measure and record the OCV. Short each battery across all the positive and negative terminals with a total external resistance not greater than 50 milliohms. After one hour remove the short from across the terminals. Measure and record the OCV. Stabilize batteries at the normal conditions of 4.3.1 for not less than 2 hours. Chargebatteries in accordance with 4.6; use of 4.6.3 is permitted. Stabilize batteries at normal conditions for not less than 2 hours, then discharge the battery in accordance with 4.7.2.3. The battery shall meet the requirements of 3.7.2.3.
