Infrared super power, millet universal remote control

Since the summer, Mu Mu has been plagued by various remote controls for a long time. Because of the hot weather in Beijing, returning home to air conditioning has almost become habitual. Millet universal remote control is designed and manufactured by Xiaomi's ecological chain company, Chuangmi Technology, and is part of Xiaomi's smart home product line. There is no bright spot in the packaging, so we go directly to the topic and take a look at the true content of this product.


Open the box and we see a black flat cylindrical box. Because of the protective film, the details of the box are still not visible. The bottom of the box is a radiating column (guess) and a rubber mat for anti-slip.

Remove the protective film, you can see millet universal remote control is a smooth paint process, the overall texture and previous glory box out of the box is very similar. I personally love and resist this kind of design, and I like its moist, jadey feel, but it also means that this object will exist as a fingerprint collector and a scratch display device. It cannot be played at random. Well, it's estimated that this position will not be tampered with.

Simply read the product introduction, Mu Mu's first reaction is that this product must be an infrared energy. Product description shows that the millet's smart remote can detect infrared rays 360 degrees, so this small black box must be full of infrared emission heads. But then, in general, the infrared emitter of the remote controller is transparent. In contrast, the shell of this millet universal remote control in my hand is not transparent at all. How does it emit infrared light? Really puzzled.
