Laser TV "Healthy Eye Care" was confirmed by the national authority. Recently, the Saixi Laboratory of China Electronic Technology Standardization Institute and Peking Union Medical College Hospital's ophthalmologists, an authoritative testing organization directly under the state, obtained 144 sets of test data through a strict comparison test between people watching laser TV and LCD TV under the same conditions. The data confirms that laser TV does have strong eye-protection properties, especially in terms of ciliary muscle activity indicators that are highly related to whether the human eye is nearsighted or not, and even has a significant improvement effect.
Since Hisense launched the world’s first 100-inch ultra-short-throw laser TV in 2014, laser TV has gradually broken people’s understanding of the inherent state of TV. Its short-focus reflection imaging principle is significantly different from that of liquid crystal or OLED light-emitting direct imaging. What impact will the change of imaging methods have on the visual health of the audience? The ophthalmologists of Saixi Laboratory and Xiehe Hospital selected 36 people and divided them into 6 groups to conduct a two-day test under the same conditions. Compare the human eyes to watch the same size at a certain time (90 minutes) and a certain distance (3 meters). Subjective and objective evaluations before and after laser TV and LCD TV, and obtained 144 sets of test data on human eyesight, refractive power, tear film rupture, ciliary muscle flexibility and subjective perception of human eyes.
Data analysis and comparison confirmed that the subjects will have obvious changes in vision, diopter and ciliary muscles after watching LCD TV, as well as symptoms such as eye swelling, eye pain, photophobia, dry eyes, blurred vision, etc.; subjects watched laser TV Later, the key indicators such as vision and subjective eye perception did not change significantly. The study also found that long-term excessive contraction of the ciliary muscle can easily lead to myopia. In this indicator, which is highly related to whether the human eye is myopia, the performance of laser TV and LCD TV is exactly the opposite. After the subjects watched the LCD TV, the ciliary muscles were fatigued. Obviously, the ciliary muscle tends to be more flexible after watching laser TV. It can be seen that watching laser TV under the same conditions is not only more comfortable, but also protects eye health to a certain extent.
Laser TV expert Dr. Liu Xianrong pointed out that the characteristics of laser TV's healthy eye protection are determined by its luminous imaging principle. LCD or OLED TVs use direct imaging, the large-area screen light directly enters the eye, and it is accompanied by problems such as high-brightness display and stroboscopic refresh. The larger the size, the longer the viewing time, the more likely it is to cause visual fatigue. The laser TV reflects the light into the eyes of the viewer through the screen, just like everything in nature reflects the sunlight and finally enters the eyes, the light is soft, comfortable and not dazzling. Take Hisense laser TV as an example. In order to achieve a softer eye-protecting display effect, Hisense laser TV is specially equipped with a Fresnel passive bionic screen imported from Denmark. The optical engine inside the laser TV also shapes and homogenizes the laser. After the lens is magnified and imaged on the screen, the spatial distribution of the projected light intensity is the same as that of an LED or a bulb, and there is no laser hazard that people are worried about.
The reporter learned that the "healthy eye protection" feature of laser TVs is constantly gaining recognition from the market and consumers. As a new species in the TV industry, laser TV has been born four years ago, and its market share has been rising rapidly year after year. According to data from Zhongyikang, in the first half of 2018, domestic laser TV sales increased by 326.32% year-on-year. As the "inventor" of laser TVs, Hisense laser TV sales and sales in August accounted for 94.46% and 94.82% of the entire laser TV market, occupying half of China's 80-inch and above color TV market.
The good eye protection features of laser TV have also attracted more and more parents' attention. The latest research report of the World Health Organization shows that in 2017, China had 600 million myopia patients, ranking first in the world. What is worrying is that the trend of younger age is very obvious. The myopia rate of primary school students is as high as 45.7% and that of junior high school students is 74.4%. Regarding this issue, General Secretary Xi Jinping has recently issued important instructions continuously, demanding that "the whole society should take action to take good care of children's eyes and let them have a bright future." Eight departments including the Ministry of Education then issued a statement in August. On the 30th, the "Implementation Plan for the Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents" was jointly issued, incorporating vision health into quality education, including the prevention and control of myopia in children and adolescents and the overall myopia rate in government performance evaluation indicators, and reducing the physical health of children and adolescents for three consecutive years. Local governments and schools are held accountable in accordance with laws and regulations. The industry predicts that as more and more consumers continue to increase their demand for eye protection, the large-scale outbreak of the laser TV market has just begun.
