Mr. Xiong: Destar has prepared for LED streetlights for a long time. Before the LED lighting, Destar has done many years of mold, electroplating and heat-dissipation die-casting. After two years of research and development, LED street lights with high performance and independent intellectual property rights began to appear in early 2007.
Reporter: As we all know, the quality of the street lamps of Destar is very good. How can Destida guarantee the quality of the products?
Mr. Xiong: The guarantee of product quality mainly depends on technology. The R&D team of Destar is mainly in Taiwan. In the LED street lamp technology, Taiwan’s technology has always been at the forefront. Destar and Taiwan’s optoelectronic company have launched a long-term Cooperation, in 2007, after the "Taiwan Industrial Research Institute" completed the sample test, the excellent characteristics of its products and packaging technology, praised by the public. Philips Lumileds, a supplier of DSD, is currently supplying ultra-high brightness yellow light, white light and LED light chips. The brightness, life and structure uniformity of the chip are deeply appreciated by international customers and achieve world-class epitaxial level. The evaluation has laid a solid foundation for DSD Technology Group in the layout of high-power LED lighting, street lighting and the future of the photovoltaic market. In addition, Destar has invested heavily in the development of LED street lamps, and has so far increased its capital to $12.5 million. It is the constant innovation of technology and the increased investment in research and development to ensure the quality of the products. More importantly, the street lamps produced by DESTA Optoelectronics have undergone field environmental testing in several countries over two years, which is a rare quality guarantee between peers.
Reporter: What other aspects of Destida need to strengthen?
Mr. Xiong: What Destarda needs to improve now is the efforts in marketing, planning and product brand awareness. DyStar is currently raising its reputation in the industry primarily by ensuring the quality of its products. Because quality is the life of the product. Only when the quality is improved, the brand awareness of the product will be there. Although Destar has become a well-known brand in China, there are still some work to be done in brand building. For example, increase publicity and so on. In addition, for marketing and marketing planning, Destar has more work to do. DyStar currently has a product display center in Zhongguancun, Beijing, and has not yet established other offices in China. Therefore, it is the current important work of Destar to continue to seek a strong agent.
Reporter: How do you view the impact of the financial crisis?
Mr. Xiong: In fact, the financial crisis has not had much impact on our LED lighting industry. On the one hand, the LED lighting industry is a base period for the development of emerging industries, and the other is because LED lighting can save energy. To reduce energy consumption, it is favored by the government to expand domestic demand. After the financial crisis came, everyone thought of saving money. The government’s demand for LED lights has increased.
Reporter: What actions does the company have in marketing this year?
Mr. Xiong: On March 12 this year, Destar will cooperate with Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School to establish a semiconductor optoelectronics laboratory, which is also the embodiment of DSD's investment in R&D in China. Because nowadays, although Destar has certain advantages in technology, it does not mean that Destar can maintain its technological leadership in the future. Therefore, in order to continue to maintain its advantages and to fulfill its corporate responsibility for energy conservation and emission reduction, it is necessary to strengthen R&D and patent territory. This year, starting from March, Destar will continue to participate in some large-scale exhibitions at home and abroad. The schedule of the exhibition has been in October, and these exhibitions are large-scale exhibitions at home and abroad. Such as the New York International Lighting Exhibition, Hong Kong, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition. From March 10th to March 12th, China's first international streetlight exhibition, our 200-inch booth is the largest exhibitor in the whole building, and our strategic partners Poly Solar and Philips Lumileds will gather together.
